After a brief introduction from Muki Haklay, there was a session led by Louise Francis, a director of Mapping for Change.

She introduced some of the people involved in maps which included climate action maps from North Dorset, and noise mapping. Check them out for examples of citizen research, participatory GIS and the use of technology to replace paper-based maps.

It was also good to meet up again with Steven Feldman from the GeoVation team, who showed me a link to GEO.ME who offer data visualisations for businesses.

Also came across a new iPhone app called WORK SNUG.
